Abstract

In this paper, a new model for correlated K-distributed sea clutter simulation is developed, which combines a fast Gamma-distributed random process to make the procedure much simpler. Two parameters, α and β, which can befitted by the mean and standard deviation of the measured data, are included in this model to specify the statistical probability density characteristics of the sea clutter. Based on the analysis of the correlation properties of the compound K distribution, an auto-regressive (AR) model is adopted, which offers an efficient way to generate the sea clutter with specified power spectral.
