A Soft Source Implementation Technique on Face-Centered Cubic Grids for FDTD Method

Abstract

This paper studies the setting approach of soft source in the FCC- FDTD method, and the electric dipole source is selected to validate the proposed method. In a FCC grid, the soft source implementation technique and the difference in calculation results caused by different electric field sampling methods will be discussed in detail. The research results can provide the basic tools for the practical application in the FCC- FDTD method.
