Abstract

Software reliability testing (SRT) is one of the most important technologies to evaluate the levels of software reliability. The key of the SRT is to model the actual usage of the software. Traditional operational profile is fit to the software in which the operations are obvious. But some software, such as software in Autonomous Control System (ACS), the operation is difficult to define and the traditional operational profile is limited for it. In this paper, a scenario modeling method is introduced to construct the testing profile of SRT. There are two levels of scenario are included in the scenario model, system scenario and software scenario. System scenario is used to model the system usage and the detail usage information in it can be mapped to software scenario which is used to describe the usage of software. According to the scenario model, the testing data for software reliability testing could be generated.
