Abstract

The dew point is the temperature at which the air cools to saturation without changing its water vapor content and pressure. It is considered to be the most accurate humidity measurement method and the international standard for humidity value transfer. The dew point measuring instrument plays a very important role in the field of humidity. With the increasing complexity of gas parameters to be measured and the measuring working environment, various dew point sensors still face great challenges. So far, the literature on dew point sensors is scarce, and there is no review on its research progress of the dew point sensors. In this case, a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the research progress of dew point sensors is of great significance, and it may provide new insights to promote the development of dew point sensors. Therefore, this paper reviewed the research progress of dew point sensors for nearly five decades. Firstly, the measurement principle and working mechanism of various dew point sensors were introduced in detail. Then, the application examples of dew point sensor in various fields are discussed. Finally, the opportunities and challenges in the future development of dew point sensor are expounded.
