Abstract

Microgravity measurement system and high precision navigation system require a high precision resolution of the accelerometers, but it is difficult to determine the resolution of the high precision accelerometers by traditional methods. In this regard, a new resolution test method based on two-axis turntable was presented. In this method, microgravity can be aroused by dividing the gravitation twice. The resolution can be obtained by comparing the actual output increment of the accelerometer and the theoretical value. The precision of this test method was given by theory analysis. Lastly, the new resolution test method was validated by the simulation and experiment. The simulation result showed this method could measure the resolution of 3×10-8g and the experiment proved this method is effective.
