A research for embedded system software accident mechanism

Abstract

Embedded system, the computer system that masses of interactions exist in, has been widely used in industrial production and military defense. Embedded system software takes an important role of controlling, the failures or wrong interactions may always lead to accidents. However, because of masses of interfaces and interactions, the traditional and modern accident models cannot describe embedded system and embedded system software effectively. On the basis of characteristics of embedded system and embedded system software, this paper built an embedded system software accident model to describe software accident process and in-depth accident mechanism, in order to provide guidance of safety controlling and software safety promoting.
