Abstract

In order to reduce the abundant losses of linear power amplifier (PA) which could be applied in a motor drive system, this paper proposed a real-time sinusoidal voltage-adjustment power supply (RTSPS) system for linear PA based on wide-band-gap devices, which obviously improve the efficiency of PA. The influence mechanism of power supply on PA linearity was analyzed, then the loss model of the PA was established. Simulation verified that the proposed power supply system can greatly improve the efficiency of the PA.
