Abstract

Broadband component occupies a wide bandwidth in electromagnetic emission spectrum, which is critical to the conformance verification of electromagnetic emission spectrum. However, the original data consists of various components, such as the noised signal, broadband component and harmonic component, resulting in the deteriorated performance in conformance verification. To avoid that, the broadband component of the electromagnetic emission spectrum, reflecting more details, should be extracted to improve the performance. In this paper, a novel method for extracting the broadband component, based on the ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) and the higher order statistics (HOS) method, is proposed. The effectiveness of this newly proposed method and its advantages over conventional approach has been demonstrated via experiments.
