A novel design of software GNSS signal simulator

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

In this paper we propose a software based GNSS signal simulator with a novel simulating architecture lying on the object oriented topology. The signal generation and procession system are divided functionally into several segments which can be replaceable and movable with their congeneric parts. This arrangement enables customers to select needed filters to function instead of a stiff graphic user interface. What is more, navigation data reproduction is amply illuminated through an untraditional way. Additional ephemeris and almanac are used to simulate more concrete GNSS navigation data, which makes the software GNSS receiver testing distinct and convenient. Several filters are introduced to realize the entity of signal generator. Product signal is tested by a C language based software GPS receiver. It turns out that the result is satisfied.
