abstract = "Facing the revolution of aeroengine complex component manufacturing technology, the traditional inspection mode for production process with 2-dimension engineering drawing cannot satisfy the growing inspection requirements due to the incoherence with design and manufacturing graphs. To solve the problem, this paper researches the methodology of introducing Model based definition (MBD) technology to inspection planning work. The inspection information extraction and organization are carried out directly from the 3-dimension digital graph and the measurement path planning is programmed based on the inspection features exported from the information management module. Then the inspection information management and path planning modules are integrated into a UG NX based system supported by a database and web environment to form an application tool. The integrated system makes up for the existing deficiencies in the inspection process of aeroengine complex components and is proven to be available in an actual aeroengine component manufacturing factory.",
