Abstract

A method used to eliminate the crosstalk between the neighboring parallax images by correcting the intensity values of subpixels on synthetic images in the autostereoscopic displays was proposed based on lenticular sheet. The causes of the crosstalk was analyzed based on a synthetic image, and the equations of crosstalk elimination was deduced according to the relationship among the crosstalk coefficients of each parallax image observed through the lenticular sheet, the intensity values of subpixels displayed on the synthetic images, and the intensity values of subpixels observed through the lenticular sheet at the optimal viewing position. The experiment results verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
