A low voltage blue-phase liquid crystal display with concave electrode

Abstract

A low voltage blue-phase liquid crystal display (BPLCD) with concave electrodes is proposed. A low voltage ~9V can be achieved Moreover, this BPLCD can obtain a symmetric and wide viewing angle of 1000:1, and the contrast ratio is over 60° viewing cone.
