Abstract

WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks) are vulnerable to security attacks due to the communication nature and limited computation capabilities of the sensor nodes. The key management scheme is crucial to enable encryption and authentication among sensor nodes to protect confidentiality, integrity and availability of the communications of WSNs. Based on studying key management schemes of WSNs, a key management scheme is proposed based on EBS, it can refresh the keys in WSNs securely and efficiently. The final analysis shows that this scheme enhances network security while conservatively consuming nodes' compute resources, meanwhile, it saves the resources of WSNs.
