Abstract
This paper presents a heterogeneous agent network model as a simple representation to simultaneously characterize the time-invariant and time-varying topologies of various networked systems in communication and social networks, where two types of nodes: mobile agents, abstracted as random walkers in plane, and fixed agents interact with each other according to the neighborhood rule. The analytical results show that the mobile agent density determines synchronization of the considered heterogeneous network under the fast-switching constraint. In particular, a global synchronization behavior appears by introducing a proper mobile agent density. Numerical experiments verify the theoretical results above acquired.
