A fuzzy logic based control method for spine robot

Abstract

Aimed at the difficulty of control ability and safety in bone-drilling of spine surgery, a fuzzy logic based control method was introduced. On the basis of analysis of surgical characteristic, and the mechanical structure and the control system of spine robot, the path planning strategy for the bone-drilling process of spine robot was researched based on the fuzzy control theory. Based on doctors' experience and experimental data, the database of fuzzy rules was established, and a control response table was constructed by fuzzy inference. The control system was simulated using the fuzzy logic system with MATLAB. The result proved the validity and practicability of the method.
