A dual-radar system based estimation algorithm of 3D scatterer distribution with micro-motions

Abstract

Trajectories of multiple scattering centers on a rigid body induced by micro-motions are closely related to their spatial distribution. This paper presents a novel approach to estimate the scatterer distribution of micro-dynamic rigid targets in three-dimensional space. The singular value decomposition and corresponding constraints are applied herein to the mixed measurement matrix from a dual-radar system. It can be applicable to targets with complicated micro-motions. Simulation results indicate that the proposed approach is effective and robust to fluctuations of both measured relative ranges in line-of-sight and intersection angles.
