Abstract

Downlink ICIC(Inter Cell Interference Coordination) which plays a crucial role in improving cell edge spectrum efficiency in LTE-Advanced system is the process that mitigates the interference from Node(e.g. evolved Node Base(eNB), pico, femeto) to User Equipments (UE) in adjacent cells. In this paper, the limitation of traditional ICIC method is analyzed and an improved ICIC method based on priority is proposed in order to improve efficiency in LTE-A systems.
