Abstract

In this paper, a Bluetooth-based display system (hereinafter referred to as a "BluDisplay") is proposed. Based on a field study in rural China, the BluDisplay could be designed to show contents of short messages and pictures. In addition, with the bi-stable display used, the system could achieve extremely low power consumption. Finally, the system framework and an implementation are presented.
