Abstract

This paper focuses on the optimization of the hydrogen fuel-staged micromix combustor outlet temperature for a micro turbojet engine. By constructing a joint simulation and optimization method with Workbench and UG,and based on the approximate model and genetic algorithm,a multi-parameter driven optimization design process was established. The optimal parameter combination for the dilution hole diameter and axial position in the hydrogen micromix combustor was obtained,and the impact of key parameters on the outlet temperature. A detailed analysis of the flow field,species distribution,and temperature distribution for the optimal scheme was also conducted. Results show that the high-temperature area was concentrated within the 0~20 mm range of the micromix element outlet. The combustor outlet hot spot was most sensitive to the diameter of the outer liner hole. Besides,reducing the outer liner dilution hole diameter and increasing the inner liner dilution hole diameter would improve the uniformity of the outlet temperature distribution.
