Abstract
In order to realize high-quality development of Guangxi comprehensive transportation in the new development pattern, systematic research is conducted on the mid-and-long term layout scheme of Guangxi railway network based on the new requirements of railway development in the new era and current key demands of railway network planning. According to the general concept of distinguishing direction and stratification, strengthening channels outward and building network inward based on the framework that composes external rapid passenger channel system jointing the south, north, east and west, constructs the regional rapid passenger transport network with high speed railway as the main body and supplement with inter-city railway according to the scale and properties of the railway passenger group in Guangxi, the layout scheme focuses on the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and fully connecting the Greater Bay Area, improves the layout of general railway network and systematically enhances the capacity of freight network. Finally, it forms a high speed railway network with two cores, five horizontal and four vertical lines, and a conventional railway network with three cores, four horizontal and five vertical lines. In this way, a large capacity traffic channel group in the region and the “1239” rapid traffic circle are created with coverage rate of high-speed railways reaching 100% at the municipal level and 92. 8% at the county level; and the goal of high speed railway access to every city and conventional railway access to every county is basically realized.
