Abstract
In order to solve the inaccurate identification problem when the load rejection method is used in the self-excited generators due to the excitation voltage variation, a parameter identification method based on load rejection test and numerical difference is proposed in this paper. In this method, the parameter identification is carried out by the combination of load rejection tests and classical time domain identification method. To form the Jacobian matrix in the parameter iteration process, the trajectory sensitivity of terminal voltage to each parameter is calculated by the numerical difference method, which can well settle the initial value problem of trajectory sensitivity at the moment of load rejection. Due to the strong observability of the load test, the method can overcome the interference of environmental noise. Meanwhile, the time-domain identification method is rigorous enough to fully account the influence of the excitation voltage variation on the identification. The identification example shows that the method is simple and feasible to carry out, and has a strong engineering application value.
