Abstract
Due to its unique wetting properties, superhydrophobic surface caused by the micro/ nanostructure in nature has shown wide application prospects in many fields. Most of the reported researches focus on the static wetting conditions, which is far from actual conditions. In this paper, the kinetic and thermodynamic methods were used to analyze all the nine wetting states on the superhydrophobic surface under dynamic wetting conditions, and the existence conditions and forms of each wetting state are derived. The decisive effect of the pillar distribution density on the wetting pressure is analyzed based on the equilibrium relationship in dynamics wetting conditions. Accordingly, there are divergences and timing between microstructure and nanostructure in anti-wetting pressure. And the formation conditions of the six possible wetting states are listed. Then, the synergistic mechanism of the anti-wetting energy barrier of the micro-nanostructure on the wettability is further pointed out. The model is valid when compared with previous experimental data. The results in this paper provide a reference for designing stable micro-nanostructured superhydrophobic surface.
