Abstract
In this paper, an Octo-strut vibration isolation platform which is composed of a new type of nonlinear fluid micro-vibration isolators is studied. Based on the nonlinear five-parameter model of the isolator and the Newton-Eulerian method, a dynamic model of the Octo-strut vibration isolation platform is firstly constructed, and then the dynamic characteristics, e.g., vibration coupling behavior and safety redundancy, are theoretically analyzed and numerically validated. The results show that the dynamic characteristics in the vertical translation direction z and the vertical rotation direction θz are independent, but the dynamic characteristics in the radical translation direction x and the radical rotation direction θy are coupled with each other, so are the radical translation direction y and the radical rotation direction θx, the direction x and direction y are perpendicular to each other. As the vibration isolation platform has vibration coupling behavior, safety redundancy and nonlinear temperature-dependent property, thus the occurrence of the failed isolator should be avoided, and the temperature-dependent characteristic should be paid attention to ensure the safety and reliability of the vibration isolation platform.
