Abstract

Since the 1950s,jet noise has been a classic research issue in the field of aeroacoustics. This paper first briefly reviews the development process of jet noise, mainly about the mechanism of jet noise generation and the evolution of research ideas. Then, it focuses on the progress of the jet noise testing technology, the control technology, the numerical simulation, and the prediction methods in the last 20 years. Finally, the future development trend of the research of jet noise is briefly discussed.
