Abstract
Future intelligent aircraft are evolving towards free switching across various speed ranges, media and multiple application scenarios, posing significant challenges for appearance and structural design. The deformability capability of the aircraft can greatly improve their adaptability to diverse conditions, marking an important direction for future development in this field. Morphing metamaterials exhibit great potential for the application in intelligent aircraft due to their unique multifunctional properties and capacity to change shape without relying on traditional mechanical systems. This paper reviews recent advances in morphing metamaterials and their applications in transportation vehicles, providing insights and guidance for further research to support the innovative design of advanced aircraft.
